Two different issues. Two introverts can make a good couple. Romantic relationships can be a lot of fun! It can feel exhausting, like work, or as if we’re just going through the motions of a conversation. We just ignore them instead of getting upset or … I have friends and I easily socialize at work but I’m not very outgoing and I prefer to be by myself. If not, they don’t feel invested in the relationship. OP, what you mentioned seems to be a different concern: having a healthy relationship together vs. keeping interest in each other because of their shyness. Loners don’t need anyone. In relationships, this can sometimes be seen as a negative quality, as Cancers can easily become jealous. The same applies to extraverts of different gradations. Loners tend to enjoy spending as much time on their own as they can, but they do have friends. They Stay Friends With Their Exes. It is not that they dislike people, they just have less of a need for peer acceptance than most. These are other souls that come into our lives for one reason or another, and they can be family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, lovers and even enemies. But, it just means they care and want to protect what is theirs. We all have a soul and when we encounter other souls in our lives, the friction of the meeting between two energy forces can create different, intriguing and challenging effects. But the introvert reaps secret joy from the solitary life. I imagine a loner who wants to be with someone isn't really a loner, or at least they wont be a loner for long (if they desire to meet someone). They can and do enjoy being with a partner but get uncomfortable when the relationship gets too close. I am a loner. 2. #11 You are a loner, always have been, always will be. If you grew up all on your own and that is the way your role models lived too, then it is hard to turn that part of yourself off. They feel they can can take care of things by themselves because they’ve been shown growing up they have to. There is this guy I see on my way to work and I have had the longest crush on him. They can come across as loners and in many respects they are. The start of a new relationship is nearly always one of the most exciting times, as you each explore one another’s hopes, dreams … and bodies. 2. Our habit of disengaging with people we don’t enjoy can come in handy, however, when friends, exes, or relatives try to meddle in our relationships. He is older shy and also gives off the loner vibe. Whereas this can be the marker of a good relationship in some cases, in a relationship with a sociopath this type of attention can quickly fade. So if you have an introvert-introvert couple, with one party being much more intorverted than the other, that can cause conflicts within their relationship. For as long as I can remember, it’s when I’m alone that I’m at my happiest. But, to be in a successful relationship, you need someone. On the other hand, I have known many people who suffer depression or any number of things that makes it hard for them to socialize, and thus meet someone or sustain a long term relationship.
